The news has been abuzz about the recent outbreak of the dreaded Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV.) The school would like you to take the necessary steps to prevent your kids and your families from acquiring this very resilient strain of this virus. We do not wish to induce panic or fear, but we only wish for all Anneans to be one in combating this looming health threat. The following simple steps may be of help:
- Clean your homes of unwanted clutter, dust and unused materials.
- Always wash hands and stick to hygienic practices, such as washing of hands before eating and brushing of teeth after eating.
- Eat healthy and avoid junk foods and sugary beverages.
- Don’t eat raw or uncooked foods. Food that you eat should be cleansed and thoroughly cooked in high heat.
- Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Don’t let your throats dry out.
- Sleep on time and get enough rest.
- Get adequate exercise, don’t be sedentary.
- Make it a habit to sterilize hands with alcohol or alcogel, or wash hands with soap and water, especially when handling lots of things.
- Keep pets and other animals clean. If possible, keep them outside of the house since they may be carriers of a vast number of diseases.
- Wear a high quality face mask when going to public areas. Never use these twice. Avoid public areas during these times if possible.
- For parents and guardians, avoiding stress and vices would really help strengthen the immune system.
- Always pray for the Good Lord to bless and protect all Anneans
We believe that all these shall pass. If you feel symptoms of flu, headache, fever, cough, colds, etc. we urge you to immediately get a check up. We just need to work together and support this initiative for health and wellness. Thank you and we look forward to more healthy collaborations for all Anneans!!!
